About
Alison Driscoll has been called many things in her life. Lately, she’s heard interactive copywriter, online copywriter and marketing communications writer thrown around. But whatever you call her, she is a writer for the web.
Alison attended Boston University’s College of Communications (COM) and graduated in 2006 with a Bachelors of Science in Communications. She specialized in Advertising, with a focus on copywriting. She also minored in Psychology because it seemed like a good way to get into the minds of her target audiences, and, well, who doesn’t study Psych in college?
While at BU, Alison was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority and served as their Public Relations Vice President, where she was in charge of creating buzz around their name on campus and planning recruitment events.
After graduation, Alison stumbled into the world of internet marketing, quite by accident, and has never looked back. She currently works as an interactive copywriter and social media consultant for clients ranging from small, local businesses to big name brands such as Holiday Inn, InterContinental Hotels Group, Tide, Always, GMAC Mortgage, General Motors, Samsung, Buick and GMC Sierra. She has written for industry blogs such as Mashable and been featured as a social media and Facebook expert in radio interviews and guest lectures.
